THE STRONG & WRONG THEATER SERIES
Historically, Asians have had few opportunities in theatre, which creates a vicious cycle -- a lack of experience leads to fewer opportunities. Perfectionism and outcome dependence is also pervasive in Asian culture.
The STRONG & WRONG THEATER SERIES serves as a laboratory for Asian-American playwrights, directors, and actors to present their works-in-progress, develop their craft in front of a live audience, and receive feedback.
Each show is comprised of four short scenes, from original and published material, and from Asian and non-Asian playwrights. The goal of this works-in-progress festival is to become at ease with mistakes, feed our souls through performance, and improve through audience feedback.
